SSHT cables have long lifecycles despite high temperatures. A test in the TKS furnace showed that SSHT and SSHT-SI cables can guarantee safe powering down of the furnace within 30 minutes in the case of fire. They display good resistance in contact with liquid steel and slag in radiation heat and flames in practical use.
SSHT cables boast good EMC properties.
